I've been in the stock market for a while, but seriously, that gold chart is looking insanely bullish lately. Anyone else watching this or already jumping in?
I wonder, is now the right time to start investing in gold? I feel like I'm about to miss the boat!

And for the pros, which one do you guys prefer? the physical gold or Digital gold?? What's the smart play, and what are the major pros/cons of each, especially right now? Drop your best advice!

Gold's recent run is strong, but chasing momentum rarely works out because you're basically buying at the top of everyone else's excitement. If you're considering it as portfolio insurance rather than a trade, that's different, but FOMO is a bad entry signal

Digital is way more liquid, easier to buy/sell and lower fees although there's platform risk because you dont actually hold it. If you're hedging or diversifying long term, dollar cost average in, don't FOMO a lump sum at highs

Trying to catch the perfect entry is tough and gold could keep running or pull back 10% next week, nobody really knows. If you're worried about missing out, maybe DCA in rather than going all in at once? I personally keep about 10 to 15% of my portfolio in gold as a hedge. Not financial advice obviously, just what works for me

Real question for anyone is, what's your actual thesis for gold? stuff like inflation hedge, currency devaluation play should drive the decision more than fear of missing out

Gold is great, but when looking at history, stocks have generally outperformed gold for more than 30 years. For example, a $100 investment in 1971 would be worth significantly more in the S&P 500 than in gold by October 2025 (over $31900 vs. about $10900, with reinvested dividends).
I think if you want to invest in gold, you don't have to sell your stock, you can just buy it and treat it like a saving

my dad said gold is insurance, not a race
avoid letting the recent bullish chart be your sole reason for buying. gold is a long term position, not a trade. it performs best when stocks and currencies perform poorly (like during high inflation or geopolitical crises)
