I'm new to this so just would like to check what kind of discounts are available in UHC/AARP Medicare if both spouses are policyholders? Heard about this household discount, how does this work? Thank you

Yeah, there's usually a household discount if both spouses have UHC/AARP Medicare plans often around 5-10%. It varies by state though, so it's best to call and confirm directly

Yep, the household discount. You can try asking an agent when comparing options. Also, bundling plans or enrolling at the same time can sometimes boost your savings.

This discount typically applies if you and another person in your household are both AARP members and are each insured under an eligible AARP-branded Medicare Supplement policy from UnitedHealthcare.
It's designed to give you a percentage off your monthly premium but the exact percentage of the discount can vary by state and plan like @Shades mentioned.
It's important to know that this discount is usually for Medicare Supplement plans, not necessarily for Medicare Advantage plans or Part D plans.
And yes, I agree that it's best to speak directly to a UnitedHealthcare licensed insurance agent to confirm the specific discounts available in your area and for the plans you're interested in.
