Trying to decide if I should do a roth conversion before December 31st. Income was lower this year than expected so I've got some room in my tax bracket, I'm thinking of converting about $20k from traditional IRA to roth, still working part time though, so trying to be strategic while my income is low. Anyone else doing year end conversions? hoping to discuss

I'm not a financial advisor, but I think that's a good idea.
this allowing you to take advantage of your lower income year
Converting $20k to fill up your current tax bracket is a tax efficient move to secure future tax free growth and distributions

I have to consider the same strategy this year. With lower income, a Roth conversion can be very tax-efficient, especially if it keeps you within your current bracket. Converting $20k sounds reasonable!
