early retirement tennis elbow

I've been playing lawn tennis for a while now, and just about a year ago, I picked up squash too. I was excited to try out my new racket, but it ended up giving me tennis elbow so bad that I struggled to lift a simple glass of water. It was frustrating. I tried icing it and resting, which helped a bit, but the pain just wouldn't go away completely.

Then, not long ago, my elbow decided to flare up again, this time thanks to some really bad posture while working on my computer. My arm was all stretched out while I used the mouse, and I found out the hard way that tennis elbow and computer elbow are basically the same thing. After making some adjustments to my workspace and limiting my screen time, I noticed it's starting to get better.

Has anyone else dealt with something like this? I'd love to hear any tips or advice you might have!

I had something similar from too much computer work and learning on my elbow at my desk. When your initial pain has subsided, I suggest doing strengthening exercises like the wrist extensions with light weights and even forearms stretches! I've done the same with the guidance of my PT friend and I think it really helps! I also had to make ergonomic adjustments in my work setup.

I totally get what you're saying,I had a bit of a struggle with that myself after too much time at my desk. You're spot on about how quickly bad posture can take hold. I found that stretching and doing some light exercises for my wrists made a difference as well. Did you ever try using a brace or strap for it? I'd love to hear if that helped you out.
