Blood Transfusion Coverage with Medicare Advantage, what to expect

I'm semi retired and just recently switched over to a medicare advantage plan. Health wise, I'm doing okay, but I'm prepping for possible future needs and one thing that has caught my attention is how blood transfusions are covered. I've read that original medicare covers the first 3 pints differently than advantage plans might, depending on how the plan is structured. On one hand, some say there is full coverage and on the other hand, others mention copays or needing to meet a deductible first. I dont know and I havent found anything xactly clarifying on the internet
For anyone here who's on medicare advantage and has had experience with getting a transfusion or know someone who did or just basically any info on this

Good to check, Advantage plans are different. Some cover the first 3 pints, while others don't. It's a good idea to review your plan or give them a call. Has anyone had a transfusion with an Advantage plan? How did it go?
