I’ve recently started looking into continuing care retirement communities as part of my early retirement planning, and I didn’t expect it to feel this overwhelming. There’s a lot to consider like location, type of contract, cost structure, level of care offered, and how well the community actually fits my lifestyle. Some places have great amenities but feel too structured and others offer more independence but seem to lack a strong sense of community. I want to find a balance between having support available down the line and still keeping a lot of flexibility in the earlier years
